Healthy Gators 2010 Event Calendar

What is the Healthy Gators 2010 Event Calendar?

Part of the mission of Healthy Gators 2010 is to create a comprehensive, on-line calendar of all campus health events. If you are hosting a health-related event for faculty, staff and/or students, you can request that the Healthy Gators 2010 Coalition endorse or co-sponsor your event. Endorsement indicates a request to be added to the Healthy Gators 2010 website calendar and/or for permission to use the Healthy Gators 2010 logo on your publicity. Co-sponsorship goes beyond endorsement and indicates a request to help publicize your event. Regardless of the type of request, all requests must be made at least three weeks prior to your event or program.

Advantages of collaborating with Healthy Gators 2010:
  1. Increased credibility for and recognition of your health event, program or project through endorsement or co-sponsorship with Healthy Gators 2010.
  2. Increased awareness of health events, programs and projects offered at UF.
  3. Increased sense of the UF community.
  4. More accurate information to make informed choices about activities.
Want to have your program listed? To meet our requirements your program must:
  1. Be a health-related event, program or project.
  2. Be sponsored by non-profit or charitable organization(s).
  3. Be sponsored by campus affiliated organization(s).
  4. Be marketed to, intended for and open to all University of Florida students and/or faculty/staff.
  5. Have no alcohol.
  6. Have staff present.
  7. Have crowd control and safety issues clearly addressed by the venue holder.
  8. Be accessible.

To submit a request, contact Jane Emmerée, Chair of the Healthy Gators 2010 Programming & Communications Work Group, at emmeree@ufl.edu or 392-1161 ext. 1-4281.
